I've come to know that big things come in waves.
Church, venue & catering were the first big ones. What seemed daunting at first actually turned out to be really enjoyable -- ooooh, lesson -- and we are now enjoying a little bit of a calm swell.
This swell has freed us up to do things like... buy a load of glasses:
There have been more examples of the mismatch of X&Y chromosomes between Abby and I. After fearing that she would never find her dress, it was found within 15 minutes of the first shop. I, however, still continue to debate my choice of suit. Pathetic. Two more options here:
Apparently the shirt won't go with the dress, so I tried on this one:
...which was so darn itchy that I'd have to carry a tube of hydrocortisone with me throughout the day. Although I do like the bow tie.
Another thing to happen was the provision of a house for the bride's family to stay in whilst they're here. Some friends of ours will be away in Australia for all of September and have offered their home. Which is an incredible blessing.
I fly back over to LA on Wednesday for a month so there will be lots of little planning done then.
